From September 9 to 11, 2025, the Ágora Convention Center in Bogotá will host the International Summit on Sustainability and Environmental Innovation, a landmark gathering that will set the tone in Latin America and beyond for climate action, science, communities, and a sustainable future.
More than 140 organizations and delegations from academia, public institutions, private sectors, civil society, and international organizations will meet to share experiences, showcase solutions, and open key conversations on biodiversity protection and natural resource management.
🌍 The Community Forests and Yauto: a message from the territories
This year, The Community Forests and Yauto will join forces in a shared stand, showing how collaboration can transform the way we address the climate crisis.
At The Community Forests, we bring to the Summit the experience of projects that combine ancestral knowledge, community governance, and applied science. Our participation highlights stories of resistance and resilience from communities protecting forests, while promoting models of development rooted in climate justice, biodiversity and carbon credits, and nature-based solutions.
With Yauto as a strategic ally, the joint participation aims to demonstrate that sustainability is not just an aspiration but a practice that is cultivated, measured, and generates real impact.

The academic and technical agenda will unfold around 12 strategic themes, ranging from water governance and energy transition to circular economy, environmental justice, ecological restoration, and nature tourism. Each theme will open pathways for innovative solutions that connect science, public policy, and territorial action.
